InactiveThis might be useful for some of you who are too busy modelling to make your own textures, and don’t want to use potentially copywright ones from the web.

InactiveMayang is one of the best out there. Great high-res base textures that you can use and edit for your own needs.

Inactivecool.
I currently use http://www.imageafter.com/ for when im too lazy to go walkabout with the digital camera.
All the images would need a bit of tweaking, but its a nice source of high res texture refference. -

InactiveTo make some of these textures tileable, check this out ( requires the OpenSource GIMP paint package, similar-ish to Photoshop ).

Direct links ( with sample images ) to them are below …

http://www.gimp.orgThis isn’t probably for the faint of heart, or casual users, but if you work with textures a LOT, then this toolchain could be invaluable.

InactiveMal – Thanks for recommending our site! We have over a thousand textures currently posted, most of which are seamless or tileable. We add 2-5 textures a day and all of our textures in medium resolution are available for free if you sign up for a standard membership! A premium membership is available for a low annual fee allowing you to access all of the textures in high resolution, most 2000 pixels or more as well as professionally designed bump maps and alpha maps!
Due to the overwhelming response from the gaming community we’re currently resizing all of our textures to conform to 2x sizing for use in game development. In addition to our current sizes, all textures will also be available in 512×512 pixels for standard members and at least 2048×2048 pixels for premium members!
We’re a new site and very open to suggestions and requests! so please stop by our site and if there are any textures you need that we don’t have, let me know and I’ll do everything I can to create it for you!
Thank You!

That is great news!!! Non power of 2 textures were the only drawback I could see from the textures ( although the texturise plugin above could go some way to building the larger, tileable texture from the source material ).
Regards…
