I was at a very interesting (potentially) event recently in DCU which was discussing some sort of formal collaboration between FutureLab and DCU in Ireland. The form and nature of this has yet to be decided but already there is informal collaboration between people in DCU and Futurelab. Might be worth keeping an eye on.
For those who are not familiar with Futurelab they are a UK government sponsored research institute who design and evaluate multimedia applications for education, including games.
