probably best to post a photo thread in here and get everyone to upload to an imagehosting site or something since there’s a huge todo list going on here still

It would be a nice feature to have as part of the member profile page. The IGDA forums do this. I doubt it’s top of the list of priorities right now, but some day!

why dont you just change your signature of the skittle etc to a picture of yourself. That way every post has you picture attached to it. Simple solution, no code change required and no hassle for dave k. :)

Or you could just create an account on Flicker or a similar online service and let people upload their own images and link to them here, it’d save bandwith and coding time at the very least.

no actually I would discourage posting images of girlfriends or boyfriends on the site and instead encourage them to come to shindigs or post themselves on the forums. I don’t think it is relevant to the forums and it will use up bandwidth. Please just add a link from your skills profile or introduction.
Also us people on really poor broadband links at home would hate it.

Blogging on the subject of game design attracts a very interesting and quite diverse following (Raph Koster’s a good place to start), and is not a bad place to include the odd self-portrait, cos its an international scene and once/if you get to the jetsetting stage you wanna be recognisable in word and face (deed’s not so important, unless your words aren’t up to scratch).

Yup, we have incredibuild now…compile times have dropped considerably. -

If you want see people in person shindigs are the best way. Reckon there’ll be a load at the GD birthday on the 28th. Im even gonna try to get a flight back and make this one. Last one i was at was in August..
