InactiveDunno know anything about this course, but there is a BSc (Hons) Computer Games Programming course running in Derby University. http://www.derby.ac.uk/prospectus/ugprospectus/coursedetails.asp?Id=693
I’ve heard a rumour that they are offering scolarships to women who want to do the course.
Again, I know nothing about the quality of university or the course.

InactiveYup, we’re in Derby.
I don’t know anything about the course. I saw on the website that they have a mandatory year placement, but there is definitely no student here from the uni now. It could be the course is new, it could be we don’t deal with them, I have no idea.
Looking at Derby, you have Core, Circle, Eurocom and Criterion in close proximity and I guess, its not that far from Codemasters, Rare and several others…. -

We were talking about that yesterday…i think its not a scolarship, but a bursary or something. Think there might be a summer course and from that you get offered it. Don’t know the details, but it seems to be legit. -

Criterion head office is in Guildford, they have an office just down the road from Core in Derby. Think its a RenderWare office.
Not sure where Rare are, but they’re in the vacinity…
