Nice article about how the uk is in a drought of programmers etc for the next gen because colleges arent producing the grads. So they’re stealing grads wherever they can get them. Off physic\maths courses etc.
Definately a nice situation though for people trying to get into the industry, there’s plenty of places. You just need to focus you skills and get those demos made and submitted. Seems like every company is on a hiring drive.

Ninja theory, Sega Driving studio, Sony Liverpool\Cambridge\soho, Climax, Rare, Rockstar North, Codies,Blitz\Volatile games, evolution etc. Although some of these are for experienced people, alot are taking on grads\newbies.

Ofcourse what you say is true Damo, but new blood can cure alot of things. However if the underlying factors remain the same, I would classify a company as being in a terminal downward spiral. I cant see that being the case with Climax, I imagien they’d sort themselves out.
Not saing there was any trouble….’Allegedly’. ‘Apparently’ etc

Just thought…. Climax laid off loads of people last year over the Warhammer Online fiasco. Guess they’re getting their staff levels back up again.
