      Hi guys,

Just a quick question for the arty types, can anyone recommend a good graphic design course (FETAC or similar) or even a renowned college for Graphic Design? A friend of mine is looking to get into it. Cheers.

I worked in a graphic design agency and the guys there had gone to NCAD back in the 80’s.

Don’t know what the course is like now but art colleges seem to overly ignore the use of computers and as you know photoshop, illustrator and quark or indesign are the modern tools O the trade and if you don’t have em no jobs for you. Prob worth telling your friend that.

There is a course in Waterford. But don’t know anything about it.

Thanks David, there are so many options there she doesn’t know where to start. I’ll try creativeireland.com too.

I know CIT do or atleast did a good one, but it is 4 years and steeped in traditional more than modern tools from what I was told by people that went there, that was some time ago now though. Not sure how much companys care about the knowledge of the tools, and software is easier to learn by yourself imo. I also know that Collaiste Stiofain Naofa in Cork, again heard it was good but this was sometime ago.
