Just in case anyone missed this, it’s a new style of funding for companies in the North of England ( where they already have quite a few companies, like Team 17 etc ).

It’s interesting to see their forum layout, which includes Funds and Collaboration.

there is an article in this month’s Develop about Gripp and an interview with Michael cramption about Game Republic, who are behind it. It is a pilot project at the moment…

      Crampton ;)

Keeping tabs on this, but will miss (again :( ) their next gathering(17th Feb). Still, don’t forget that the scope is regional (Yorks/Humber), not national – yet.

my understanding is though that if you partner with a company in that region then a project would be considered…however I am sure that local companies will be given precedence..at least in the pilot..

True and correct. My point was that if you’re in Belfast or Dublin and on your own, there’s little point in approaching GRIPP. But it’s still worth following, to check whether the proof of concept (that may eventually be replicated in various countries/regions/etc.) will materialize or turn out a damp squib.
