need some help, this

does anyone reconise any of the sprites or images?

they are edits of art of fighting characters
they just swapped heads on characters and changed colours. Also one or two might be out of some early fatal fury incarnations

I am not familiar with Art of Fighting itself, but look up a fighting game engine called MUGEN. There are quite a ton of sites dedicated to providing you with characters from all the best fighting games around so you can put them one against the other in this engine. As a side result, this means you can find tons and tons of rips, whether music, sounds, sprites, backgrounds, etc.

yeah, i know about MUGEN, the are port requests all the time for the dc, but its not open source, BOR is something simlar, but it on the dc, gp32, ps2 and xbox. Most releases are useing rips from other games, but for the contest original sprites were required (so therefore legal), so this submission will have to be disqualifed

While we are on the subject, is there any equivalent of MUGEN for Windows? Cos last time I checked, the bastards moved off from Windows to stick to Linux only :cry:

Funny you should mention that. A few weeks ago I was addicted to Double Dragon on the Gameboy… yes, the one from the 80s. Streets of Rage was also fantastic, but I haven’t played it in years. Maybe it’ll be something for the weekend! -
there is a Double Dragon Extreme, BOR mod that rocks. it has both the arcade and Nes version and remix versions. the problem with BOR ther are no weapons pick-ups. but i think there will be weapons in the sequal that they are working on
