Hey guys I was wondering if someone from the community can help with pricing a project I’m working on.

I’m developing 3 small e-learning flash games for a client to put on his site and I don’t know how I would go about charging them for it? This is my first time doing something like this and I want to make sure I price it right.

There isn’t a lot of animation in it, it would be just pictures with some sounds and then the questions.

Any advice on this would be very appreciated! :D

Anywhere between 15$ to 20$ per game is reasonable. But as there is not much animation in it 12$ is also a good deal.

12$ is not a good deal not even 20$, i had worked on some flash games which had almost no animation in it. The minimal charge for such games should be 30$.

Really $20-$30 a game!? Lets put this in perspective. Minimum wage in Ireland 8.65 euro or $12.67 per HOUR. So even if your game has so little animation that it can all be done in 2.5 hours you still want someone with a relatively high level skill set, compared to working in a sweet shop, to work for minimum wage?

You might get a few students who are desperate for some C.V work and a bit of cash but even at that I’d say you’re ripping them off. More importantly if you pay peanuts you’ll get unprofessional work. If you want a rough guide, I know of people doing work for hire flash stuff and charging about 15 euro per hour and I would consider that a very competitive rate.
