I know enough Java that I can make things work (albeit I’m out of practise), & I’m currently thinking about ‘games development’…
I’m curious about just how much Java most ‘Java folk’ know.. & just how effective much of that knowledge is…

I’ve just had a thought, I think Gosling sez that there are 3 million Java coders…
that’s 2003…
So… given that we’ve got say 1 billion web users world wide

then, Ireland is like 0.004 of that… makes for 12000 Java folk from the Rep’
(as I call it)
these are Fermi estimates… but say that 5% do ‘something gamey or 3G ish‘)… then that is 600…
if 1%, then 120…
