InactiveHad nothing much to do this evening, so decided I would make a low poly model. I was thinking what I could model…..and only one thing came to mind….THE HOFF!
So anyway, I started the model a couple of hours ago and its pretty much finished. Its untextured at the moment, but Lewis is going to help me out with that, eh Lewis? Eh? ;)
I’m going for the classic “Knight Rider” era Hoff with this one. Hence the tight pants and afro.
There are a few possible dodgy verts, and redundant polys in there that I will clean up soon…. -

InactiveYou have clearly been inducted into “the cult of the Hoff”, a largely underground movement, spread through chain emails and viral marketing dedicated to His Hoffness. Seriously tho’, does any “Z” list celebrity have the same number of emails or images circulated. The recent Hoff for Pope one is hilarious!

InactiveThere is no escape Deek.
What I can’t understand is why a “Hoff Show” hasn’t been made yet, considering his cult status.
Something along the lines of “The Osbournes”. However there are so many of those type shows out there now…….we don’t need another one. Although it would be nice to get a glimpse into his life…… -

InactiveLOL I’m lovin’ his shoes, looks like you’ve got the barnet about the right size too!! Don’t forget to use Ornatrix or Shag:Hair to do a nice chest hair solution round the fringe of his collar!

InactiveI dunno Pete, Shag:Hair might not be up to the task of computing The Hoffs magnificant chest hair.
Although it would be nice to do, with some nice wind dynamics also……picture the scene:
The sun setting over a lonely highway. From the right of the screen, in walks The Hoff, his majestic chest hair blowing in the evening breeze. He looks up, straight into the camera and breaks into one of his classic hits. -

InactiveNooptical, place the Hoff model in a suitable open-top Hoff mobile, and I’ll knock up an online level for him to drive around :)

I will do a car for him over the weekend Mal, won’t be anything spectacular though, have other projects in the pipeline!

Inactive> I will do a car for him over the weekend Mal, won’t be anything spectacular though, have other projects in the pipeline!
When I get a basic level created to use the car in, I’ll throw it out to the list, so people can add in bits… sort of like stone soup :)
Different artists can take the level for a few days, make changes, then upload for the next artist to “enhance” ;)
Just a thought… what about having the Hoffmobile drive over a 3D map of Ireland, and in the various locations ( eg Derry for Torc ), people can drop in images of their game.
See this link for a ( very bad ) example…
http://www.candointeractive.com/gamedesign/car/levels ( go into the art tech level link )
Maybe have a second one, that is actually fun / crazy to drive around.

InactiveMaybe we could put him in a Kitt Golf Cart or something, that would be pretty funny.
A squashed up shiny black golf cart with the red light at the front……. ;) -

InactiveHehe, sounds cool!
How could we get the Hoff hoirish-ized for gd.ie? Maybe stick a green hat on him or something… Or is there even room on the magic mullet for a hat?

Barman ask “What would you like to drink Mr. Hasselhof?”
Hasselhoff replies, “Just call me David Hoff.”
Barman says, “Sure thing David, no Hassel.” -

Pamela Anderson was on it the other week. She didn’t seem overly enthustiastic about the Hoffer. I wonder if Ross will mention some of her comments.. :wink:Keep it up, Dave! Looks great.

InactivePammy also looked like a dumb bimbo too. Ross looked like he was struggling to find stuff to keep her there after about 2 minutes, resorting to speaking to the people in the green room and going straight on to bay Watch…something she did, what 10 years ago….stupid woman.
