      hi. quick question.

      upgrading RAM in my laptop. can i have a combination of a 256 stick and a 512 stick. would there be any probs with this.

      Yeah I think so, as long as they are the same type of RAM you can mix combinations.

      If they are different speeds, the combined memory will run at the speed of the slowest RAM.

      Yep, you can have different size combinations but for performance sakes don’t mix memory speeds. And although I’m sure you already know this but buy it from Crucial/Komplett, none of that PC World nonsense… :D

      Should be noted that some motherboards won’t even run with RAM sticks that arent the same speed

      Indeedy, might want to check all the specifics of the mobo in your laptop before you buy anything, although again that a given… :D
