Just got this game yesterday and I gotta say i’ve been playing the crap out of it (about 8hrs in).

Every thing about it just looks and feels awesome! Animation and cgi is at a totally different level to other games (about only major rival i would say is gears of war IMHO, even that looks alittle dated compared, but it is almost 2 years old).

Definately, goes to show you dont release a game until its fully polished. Also makes you justify why you have a PS3. Did this game get 10/10 off the mags?, because if it didnt and GTA IV did, then thats criminal. In almost every next-gen manner this blows GTA outta the water(in sound,ai,graphics, gameplay, animation).

Righto act 3 is installed, back to the warfare!

Ocarina of Time was seriously awesome. SERIOUSLY AWESOME.

Majora’s Mask is still sitting on my desk to be played (I know, I’m a joker).

And I’ve played a few hours of the *new* Wii version of Zelda, but I’d say I have a long way to to finish that one…

But to stay on the course of the thread, yes, MGS4 looks and plays amazingly. I think the over the shoulder camera is great. Haven’t had it collide/clip or do anything else unexpectedly yet.

I think a lot of the newer camera systems are using box-casting instead of ray to minimise collision issues with walls etc.

In MGS4 I love the fact that you can get knocked to the ground and still roll around, aim, and fire.

      B.

MGS 4 is so so good, any fan of the series will certainly not be disappointed, especially when one mission takes you to……..

      Better not say, Enjoy Peter!

Finally got around to finish this last night. One word "awesome". Without a doubt this is the closest thing you can get to a top notch hollywood blockbuster. In most cases the cinematography is alot better.

Reminds you why the games industry is the best in the world! I loved to work on something of this scale which lives up to the hype. Some seriously talented boys and girls behind this one!!
