      Hi James,

      I’d love to know who it is too.

      If you send an e-mail to the InvestNI rep with a link to the gamedevelopers.ie site, and a link to this forum, and ask her to pass it on to her client, I’m sure they’d post details of the game here.

      Did she mention that she had played the game, or any details like it was in 3D, a character game etc?

      Sounds interesting…

      I had a look at the InvestNi Site and the IMMA site but no joy on lists of companies or news like this..

      so I’d be interested too..

      She said it was shipping and they were doing quite well – no mention of the game itself. I tried to push her to see if it was a non-web based (ie. DirectX / OpenGL) but she wouldn`t give me the information…

      do you have a freedom of information act? surely they can tell us which company has published a game which is already in the marketplace??

      Thats what I thought but she was like “Sorry its confidential” – I supposed to have a chat with her this week so I will ask her to clarify things a little more..

      I thought here more than anywhere would be aware of any game developers – unless the company is producing ‘middleware’ or just a small part of the game (models, specific API, etc.) or wants to remain out of sight..

      This all sounds very suss in my opinion. Why would they be so secretive about it?

      I don’ see how anyone can gain anything from not telling people what the game is called or who released it. If I released a a game I’d want as many people to know of it as possible….. I mean thats just marketing sense.

      We have been talkin to people in Invest NI quite a bit recently and they’ve never mentioned any of this …. strange one really.

      I know this is going OT but how did u find the InvestNI people?

      My opinion was they weren`t really interested until your just about to release a product (which is far to late IMHO) or you are an established company wanting finance for a new project.
