      Hi all.. just letting anyone interested know that there is a new computer creative art forum starting up.. and we are having a challenge to set the ball rolling and hopefully bring in some new members.

      The forums is set up mainly for the Irish creative, but any person from anywhere can sign up, everyone is welcome. I hope you check out the forums and if you like what you see, sign up too.

      Aphra / Dave – should there be a record of such resources in a..Er..Eh….. ‘resources’ section of the GD.ie? ;)

      It probably does no harm to link to other creative forums – I’m sure the game tag puts some creatives off joining up ( games = a bit nerdy / not really a pure art form etc ).

      I’m eaqually sure that there are a number of people on other Irish creative forums who would have great interest in joining a games related one also, but are maybe not aware of gd.ie, so encouraging members to visit other not-related-to-games forums shouldn’t be a problem.

      yes that resources section has been on the agenda now for a bit..

      useful non-games specific ones are probably creative ireland, the digital hub/digital media forum and the Irish Internet Association.

      any other suggestions..

      Suppose the Boards.ie games thread for a more game playing realted resource would be one to list – maybe they’ll return the favour? (goes for all cases actually)

      I’m not really sure if I’ve imposed here or not to be honest… I hope I haven’t.. but I’ve set CreativeCompassIreland up to get more "art" work in every sense, posted from the creatives in Ireland.

      I’ll be placing a links section on the forums and will be sure to link to GD.ie.. to return the favour:)

      Mal… thanks for the link.. I never knew/found this site.. and I’ve googled for Irish computer graphics related sites for a few years now and never came across this one :o .. looks like a good site, thanks
