      WOW!

Got my copy of New Super Mario Bros. delivered yesterday and it is fantastic.
No other word come to mind to describe it.

You’ve got to add to your shopping list if you’ve got a ds, and even if you don’t it’s money well spent to invest in one.

A DS lite is high on my shopping priority list once it comes out.

My nintendog Vincent is cursing the programmers who decided that he should never die. He’s immaciated, starved of love and attention, and living in his own filth. He longs for the sweet nihilistic embrace of the reaper.

At least he’s warm though, the blanket of dust over my DS sees to that.

His only friends are the semi retarded blobs from the Metroid Prime: Hunters demo that came with the DS.

EDIT: Ooh, forgot why I was posting. I did enjoy Mario 64DS when I borrowed it, and WarioWare is simply brilliant, but not worth 60 squid.

Good to hear its ace, I’ll pick up SMB when I get a DS lite later in the month.

Well, at launch, DS games were going for fifty-something in GameStop.
I just rounded up to sixty.

I personally am not into childishly stylised games (Though I do love Dogs), so most of the DS’ catalogue doesn’t appeal to me – and therefore the better of those experiences are not worth the price tag for me.

Well, you’re missing out on quiet a few really good games then.

Yep that is very true…some of the best games ever create are childishly stylised.

I realise that, and I also realise what an asshole I sounded like in dismissing that style of gaming.

I didn’t really get what I meant across. I wasn’t denegrating that stylisation, just saying that it doesn’t appeal to me in general.

I was given Jak and Daxter as a gift, and thoroughly enjoyed it, but still didn’t spring for the sequels because the style simply doesn’t draw me.

I’m not saying that those games are crap, just that they don’t appeal to me visually and that I’m less likely to spend money on a first-party Nintendo title for exactly that reason.

Sorry to go on about it, but the last thing I want is to be considered an irrational anti-fanboi or h8er or whatever.

On a DS Lite related note, my mate got one the other day and he loves it. He says the screen is just as good if not better than the one on the PSP. Some pics here. And before you ask, yes he’s one of THOSE people who own all the consoles and get them as soon as they come out… :D

Got a shiny new black DS Lite a couple of days ago. Its class, the screens are better than the PSP screen, and it is a nicer looking handheld all round in my opinion.
Got Nintendogs and Brain Training. Have a ball with them both so far. Will have to pick up Mario Bros…..

Excellent. Intuitive, well paced. And an interesting storyline if you choose to pay attention

Ok havnt played it myself but i have heard its really good and original. But be warned it is supposed to be really really hard at times. Frustrating games like that arent my cup of tea, i will buy it cheap though second hand whenever i can get it.

As we are on DS games, i recently got Tony Hawks American Skateland, Its well worth buying. Really good game. I used to have THPS 2 for the playstation and this is just as good, if not better which is amazing for a handheld. The gameplay really suits the mobile format as well.

      Whatever do you mean!

Yea, I’d highly recommend the DS Lite to anyone though, fantastic console, huge improvement on the original.
