InactiveAnybody here about if there are gonna be WiFi hotspots in ireland? They are either being secretive, or they are just not doing it. I thought there would be some information out by now since mario kart is out on the 25th november!

InactiveDoes anyone know of any shops selling the USB Adaptor, or are they just available online?? I went into Game, GameStation and HMV looking for one, and all I got is blank faces. They dont seem to know much about it! :(

From what I have been reading nothing has been confirmed at all. There is nothing on the eircom site. In the UK at every student union there is one being set up, which would be excellent if it is done here! -

InactiveThere are WiFi hotspots in pubs and coffee shops all over Dublin. Lots of Insomnia coffee shops have them, as do others. I know Searsons pub on Baggot St is a WiFi hotspot too.

InactiveBut dont they have to be enabled for free usage via a deal with Nintendo?
You cant just use any ‘public’ wi-fi spots, can you?

InactiveTo the best of my understanding, you can use any wifi available to you. If the network requires a password or other code of some kind then a dialogue will appear on the touch screen.
The usb dongle seems to be for people who wouldn’t know how to configure their wifi network

InactiveHmmmm then I might be able to play it over the college network which means at long last I finally have a good reason to go into college.
Failing that I will just get the USB connector
I read somewhere that anywhere with a wireless router will be able to play it. -

InactiveYou should get a monthly account with Bitbuzz, it gets much cheaper, and they’re all over the place.

And just of note although it is being released tomorrow, there is still very little or no information on its WiFi within ireland.
Nintendo Might make great games n stuff, but I do wish they would keep us informed  -

Flogged mine(s) ages ago, m8 – no such luck
Mario, Yoshi, Peach et al. live on, on my dusty GC, but the DS lost out to a major rig upgrade for BF2 + an Izzi Pro to sate my touchscreen needs
…will take you on with (SP) Advance Wars, tho’, if it gets too boring
