I wonder would it be possible to set up a mail notification to let you know that you’ve received a PM, just like when someone replies to a thread your subscribed to. I’m terrible at not noticing have them. Due to the fact that I visit the site regularly, I can usually view all new posts from the main page and don’t need to visit the forum page, just jump straight into the posts and so I don’t see those little lines at the bottom telling me there are PMs waiting for me to read from 2 weeks ago.

Check your setup, you should get a popup every time you log on and have a new pm. The option to have it mail you is there too.
