A consolidated trailer thread – excellent work Tony.
Can we post movie trailers here too?
I came across this today;
There’s a sypnopsis here
When can we get that here! Looks like what the Matrix should have been. Tenuous gaming link I know but here’s the rationale;
Had a look at that Prince of Persia 2 trailer posted earlier as well as this one. They are soooooo cinematic. How much of that is real in game footage (not cut-scenes)? Very little, I’d say. So, is it valid to say “PoPII looks cool” based on what is essentially an animated movie? Maybe i’m cynical but I’d never buy a game basd on trailers like those as I know the game will not live up to those standards.
At least with a movie trailer, what you see is what you get when you buy the product! (more or less).
Having said all of that, it is indeed a fine Driv3r trailer. I particularly like the integration of the souindtrack – the car crashes to beats two thirds the way through is inspired.

i think a dedicated trailer thread is a cool idea too… however, i have to put my hands up and admit that wasn’t what i was attempting to do!!
the title of mypost was simply me raving about how cool the Driv3r trailer was… but if you fuys think it’s agood idea, let’s encourage everyone to post all trailer links here in a consolidated thread
to reply to peter’s question – i think movie links should go here too. thoughts? disagreements?
re: the Driv3r trailer… i thought it was one of best ‘cinematic’ game trailers i’ve yet seen. i agree with peter that the car crashes timed to the beats was fantastic, and i also really liked the mix of in-game footage with pre-rendered footage.
peter, that ‘casshern’ trailer looks amazing…

Personally I think a separate thread for movie trailers would be better.
Simply because you don’t have to sort between them if you’re only after game stuff or visa versa!

quality is not great, but it features the entire 13 mins shown at E3, whereas Gametrailers.com only has a 30 sec highlight clip (although the quality is much better)
