Hi all, almost a week gone already and its amazing how much work we have done already. We have updated our site with some images of the progress so far (concept art, grey maps ect…) along with the diary section (http://www.silvertonguesoftware.co.uk), so take a wee peep !
Things are going really well and we are all on track, any questions or comments welcome.

its looking good… looks kind of french
August 3, 2005 at 10:35 am #23594AnonymousInactive
Yeah very “french”. Reminds me of Rayman. You guys really seem to be coming along nicely keep it up.
August 3, 2005 at 12:40 pm #23595AnonymousInactive
Very cool, sort of Tim Burton-esque.
Dontcha just hate it when people complain about small things? :)
The buttons on this guy need a higher-res texture, maybe even a few more polys…
Or, to get some experience with what real games companies do… Photoshop the screenshot :)
August 3, 2005 at 2:28 pm #23610AnonymousInactive
As the website says the shots were taken at various stages of development and at that point the textures for the character had not been created and were temps. That character is currently being worked on.

Even more screenshots added !
August 4, 2005 at 1:14 pm #23638AnonymousInactive
Yet again more screenshoots added today, we hope to have most of it done by the Games Festival next week
August 4, 2005 at 2:31 pm #23640AnonymousInactive
music is obviously integral to the game… have you any examples that you can share?
good luck with the run in.
August 4, 2005 at 2:43 pm #23642AnonymousInactive
We have some tracks layed out but they are not set in stone yet, so dont want to release them yet as they may change. Richard is currently working on some audio today so we will see how it goes
August 4, 2005 at 3:15 pm #23643AnonymousInactive
Thats the thing about art… you can get away with showing a sketch and asking those viewing to fill in the detail in their heads…to use their imagination… but there is no equivalent ‘sketch’ in terms of music composition, it just sounds unfinished.
August 4, 2005 at 5:05 pm #23645AnonymousInactive
Well we have decided to change one of the tracks as it just does not fit in with the temp of that particular part of the game. Its amazing how much a difference the music and audio makes to the overall product
August 5, 2005 at 10:01 am #23658AnonymousInactive

On a slightly off topic note, I’d like to thank the folks at dare for taking the time to keep us updated here at gd.ie. It’s great to be able to see the progress that is being made, and I’m sure we are all looking forward to some downloadable demos of the final product :)
