Inactivelooks good, but the poor quality of the avi, make is hard to see the detail that is in the game.

InactiveDarksaviour – We’ll be releasing a full res version, but for now we have to comprimise and have small file size for easy/quick download.
kyotokid – Yeah, fps, basic controls, walk about and look about, has to be for the market its aimed at.
Cheers for the good feedback, we’ll post the full video early next week and the launch is in Galway on the 26th.

InactiveGreat stuff lads!
Really like the art style and the whole thing almost has a Peter Molyneux flavour to it no less! Even the GUI seems well resolved & the level of detail seems about right for the cartoon feel. Really liked the staggering drunk at the end too :D
A big well done to all at StarCave!!!
Cheers,

InactiveCongratulations, that looks pretty cool! It looks like you have built up quite a skill base down there.
What are your plans after Camelot Galway? Are you going to do a similar style of game?
Mal
BTW the only comment I would make was that, while the buildings looked great, the ground in front of them rarely had shadows from what I could see from the video. Adding shadows ( either as baked textures, or as flat alpha planes ) would greatly add to the realism in some places.

Inactiveian_hannigan – I plan to post concept to model to animtion to in-game stills if anyones interested? Cheers for the comments!
FreaK_BrutheR – We’re using the Torque engine (Tribes), theres an in-engine editor which allows for terrain editing and object positioning, animation in 3DsMax with the help of the CAT plugin.
Tech overview will be at the launch, anything specific you want to know?mal – Again plans will be revealed at the launch, big things anyway. Moving onto more PC titles and X-Box titles. About the shadows, the sun hasn’t been positioned correctly yet (just so we can see everything while putting characters in etc…) The release verion will have shadows showing with the sun positioned correctly.
Keep the comments coming and we’ll keep showing more ;)
