Sony will take it for everything they can get. They did it with the original Playstation and they made a fortune as it stayed strong even after the release of the PS2. Add that to the fact that the next-gen competition is much tougher, it’s no surprise Sony want to milk it for everything they can.
As for the pink version…

I do like the Sony quote though :)
