      Hi all,

I am starting next week to research current policies for the games industry in different European countries for a paper I am hoping to write shortly.

At this stage I am just trying to make some contacts with relevant organisations and find out what countries are introducing interesting initiatives that might inform policy making here..

So if you know of something interesting in Germany, France, the UK or elsewhere, like the RnD thing in the UK please let me know…

      thanks,.

      thanks Steph…

I will be looking into the French approach and today I heard that the German gov. is going to, or is already, using a tax on games sold to fund game development..don’t know the details yet but hope to soon…

      Hiya Aphra,
They are a pan European age-ratings collective type org who offer PEGI classification of titles; previously if you released a title in Spain – ADESE would give you the rating for Spain only, VSC in the UK only, now they have all* joined together to offer a pan-European ratings system pretty much like the US.

      * the exception being Germany’s USK which still requires a separate submission.

If you need more info/contacts you can give me a bell.
