      For those of you who were any way involved with Dare, you’ll know the effort that Jackie McKenzie put into it. I just received an email saying that she’s leaving Abertay and will not be in charge of Dare anymore. :(

      damn :( she was really into dare, especially the inclusion of the dare scholars since last year. i wish her the best of luck whatever she goes onto do. what are her plans now?

      She’s joining NESTA

      setting up an office in Dundee (Dundee University Incubator at the Technopole) and recruiting a small team to deliver on a new exciting enterprise project- ‘Starter for 6’- delivering training, mentoring and a small start-up fund to start-ups in science, technology and the arts across Scotland’s 6 Cities over the next 3 years[/quote:6169d94aad]

      yeah, sorry to see Jackie move on. She has been instrumental in DTBD since its inception

      Jane, Sarah and a third co-ordinator will be working on Dare bext year, alongside Jackie’s replacement who has yet to be announced

      yeah, i believe this was announced at the award ceremony on the 19th of august, for anyone who was there…
