its that time of year again(well in the states anyway). all the great shows are finish up there seasons. 24 on monday night and lost tonight.

just watch 24, definately the best season yet. cant wait to see what happens in day 6, something tells me bauer is in for some really fucking bad day and he’s had 6 already :)

Cant wait to see lost also, the writers claim its the best finale ever, although gonna be hard topping 24’s one. ah gotta love the internet and free tv.

Ah and poor ‘ol Scrubs finished last week too, and what a finale, a bloody cliffhanger. Bad news is, it’s now not going to start until mid-season next year so longer to wait, boo-urns. :(

As for 24, well funnily enough I just started watching it last Friday night from Season 1. I’ll admit that I was sceptical about the whole thing with the massive fuss being made about it but hot damn if its not a cracking series! :D

Lost and Smallville are now next on my To Watch list, gotta love the ‘ol internet at times likes these. :D

Cant wait to see the Lost finale tonight, got it piping down the line now ready for tonight. Once Lost is over, dont know what to do next….My Name Is Earl is over for now….Supernatural is over (cheesy show but fun)….can anyone recommend another show to start watching to fill the void ? Someone recommended Invasion – any good ?

Yup, Prison Break is very compelling – great show.

Im looking forward to the return of The Wire S4, Battlestar, The Shield and Deadwood.

I’ve never seen an episode of Lost, and I’ve only seen 3 episodes of 24…so I’ll have to get into those at some stage :p

Watched 24 the other night, that really was the best season overall, i thought 4 was a bit slow. Lost to watch 2nite, only seen a few eps of scrubs this season so gonna keep it and prison break for the summer.

Veronica mars is very very good if yes are looking somthing to keep you going over the summer, it got a horrible deal over here, living tv(i think) bought it and showed the first season in a month, one ep a night.

Yeah ive heard a few talk about Prison Break think I will check this one out. Whats the deal with downloading TV shows anyway ?? Is it legal up until the point it comes out on DVD if its from a commercial station ?

Isn’t downloading anything pretty much illegal these days….
      Doesn’t stop anyone though.

I don’t know – there’s just something about the steep curve of ridiculousness that drives me up the wall with these things.

Don’t get me wrong, I love a good suspension of disbelief as much as the next man, but when I see a fragment of a minute of an hour of a day of a week in the life of Jack Bauer (the only Government agent who doesn’t need to urinate for six days), and witness another brutal family kidnapping, another complex but focused terrorist with a sinister plan, or another eloquent and dynamic President in a West Wing corridor power-dialogue… I just sigh and turn it off.

I acknowledge some of it is great writing, the stories oh-so-clever, and the cliff-hangers perfectly paced, but I can’t bear to see another hour of Benetton beauties stare dramatically at each other, following 15 minutes of ‘Last week on Lost’, most of the following ‘action’ being flashback anyway.

In watching these shows, I feel like a marionette, at the whim of the script think-tanks, forced to lose 24 slots of one hour (not to mention the water-cooler hours lost in chatting about it the next day). I don’t doubt the good writing, the story-arcs, the tension. However, I refuse to ride this train.

      Lewis

PS The only shows I ever altered my plans to watch were ‘The Equaliser’, ‘The Office’, ‘Curb Your Enthusiasm’ and ‘Extras’.

I’d say you must be very popular at the water cooler in your office.

That was actually touched upon in an interview with Mr. Sutherland as the camera isnt always with Jack you cant actually say he never gives in to the call of nature….

      > Jack Bauer (the only Government agent who doesn’t need to urinate for six days)

Surely he only needs to hold on for a day and a night, being 24 and all… unless he doesn’t go between the different series ;)
