need to keep the diary clear for june 16th also. batman is back..
also i notice off imdb they have sin city 2 and 3 slated of 2007 and 2008.i gotta say though that movie is really impressive for a 40 million dollar budget Rob Rodriguez really is the best director for getting his money’s worth. read an article in the sunday times this week that rodriguez actually quit the film directors guild because they were complaining that he hired a 1st time co-director (frank miller) and apparently no movie should have a veteran and a newbie working together. sounds like a bunch load of snobbery.

Gah, you beat me to it! :D
Saw Sin City last night and it was absolutly fantastic! While many people complain about special effects in movies not really being “special” anymore due to their over use, SC is an example of how you can use them creatively.
Frank Miller is actually the creater of the comics…i mean eh…graphic novels. Rodriguez seems to have nearly used the comics as the storyboard for the film, much to my delight actually as it was nice to see a director staying true to the source material. I also like the way he got Tarantino in to guest direct the scene with Dwight and Johnny in the car! :D
Not surprised theres going to be sequals though, he only used three stories from the series for the film after all!
Oh and on a side note, also coming up in sequel-ville…Hellboy 2 and Underword: Evolution. Both strange to be honest, especially the latter since Victor is in it again, how? …its a prequel of course! :D

*shakes head.. *
Definitely – and I mean that – worth the read… If you ever read “the Dark Knight Returns” you’ll get the same dark gritty unhealthy-type of plot and art…
Has the swissy stamp of approval…

Hrm, the Dark Knight series is the really dark Batman series right?
Nah I dont read comics anymore, I glance at the odd scans on the net from time to time…I’ll take a look at the Sin City ones however, they seem to have some pretty cool stories. -

Awesome movie. I think the scene with Dwight and JAckie Boy in the car is one of the funniest/most disturbing scenes I’ve seen in a move for a long time. Highly reccommend this.
Oh and Jessica Alba is super hot as usual :)

Don’t you just hate it when they do that. Whats worse is when there is music in the movie itself and it’s not on the soundtrack.
Might be going to see this today, looking forward to it. Can’t wait to see Batman too, which is getting glowing reviews, and War of the Worlds looks awesome also. -

I saw a trailer last night in the CINEMA for a film called ‘The Island’ ewan macgregor and scarlett johansson….looks like a big action-y film…where da feck did that come from?
I have heard nothing about it online :?:

ya the “island” looks terrible. Looks like a cross between the prisioner\fortress and something else.
Although Scarlet is cute, so that might save the movie ;)

The something else might have been Equilibrium…I dont know why but it was the first thing I though of when I saw the trailer before Sin City…

‘The Island’ looks like one of those movies that will either be really good, or really bad.
Just back from seeing Sin City, class film. The only comic book/graphic novel movie that actually looks and feels like the orginal material. A prime example of digital cinema done very well. Mickey Rourke steals the show, his portrayal of Marv is brilliant. Bring on the sequel(s).
