      thats beautiful .. how much does software that does that usually cost ? not that i’m thinking of going in this direction LOL .. i’m just curious

      Looks pretty funky, a big step from the first Terragen but than I was pretty rubbish at using it….same wth Bryce never could get a nice looking scene…

      Man thats a vast step up from the previous version. You could always tell a Terragen image from looking at it before, now however they seem to have really got it right.
      The clouds and textures especially are a huge step up. Must take a look at this…

      Terragen is free to download and use for non-commercial use, it costs a hundred dollars or so to use professionally. It hasn’t reached the 1.0 version yet, looks like they may go straight to Terragen 2, which I expect will cost more than a ton.

      Could see a market in it for matt painting kind of jobs. Very impressive.

      Terragen seems to have been used a lot for creating skyboxes… with this new level of realism, I think it might become even more popular for this work.
