InactiveSo guys it’s raining again(probably the worst August in years) and the Monday blues have set in, so seeing as we’ve been having our Fri bizzare topics here’s Mondays ‘feel good’ topic, talk about films that make you feel good and/or Films that in general you just enjoy time after time.
Anyway I watched good-Will-Hunting last night, have had the film for years and have watched it numerous times and everytime I enjoy it, one of the only films where I can tolerate Matt Damon, great story, great cast, great film.
Fav films include:
Donnie Darko
Scarface
Donnie Brasco
The Lord of the Rings
Star Wars
The Crow
Black rain
Jerry Maquireand lots more….

InactiveMomento was one weird film, I still haven’t grasped the plot.

InactiveJust watched “The Happiness of the Katakuris” yesterday, hilarious movie. Directed by Takashi Miike(same guy who made Ichi the Killer & Audition etc….)
Favourite “feel good” movies are Indiana Jones, Star Wars, LotR…….there are more but can’t think of them right now… ;)

InactiveWhat is it about?, is it a action-horror like his other films?, and where did you pick it up.
Ichi the Killer was supposed to get a special edition re-release, I saw it advertised in some Mag, but have failed to locate it thus far.
Meet Joe Black:
An excellent film by any standards, the plot development is good and the premise for the story quite odd, and original. Hopkins is brilliant in it too.

InactiveCinema Paradiso is one of my fav feelgoods. Paradoxically, it’s one of the very few movies that has ever managed to make me cry!

Many of us ‘creatives’ are more easily prone to tears.
Why, just yesterday I started snivelling during the Coronation Street omnibus. And that was only during the theme music!

True, Ichi was a rather odd film to say the least…..sort of like Manga mixed in with real life.
