I can see how it can be used as a media player… but a games system?

Not with only two buttons on the front and no d-pad it won’t. :?

Also, its now going to be officially called the “Zune”. A rather odd name you may agree. Article here however theres no mention of its game playing abilities.

Zune? Nothing like Creative’s “Zen” then…

Unfortunately for Microsoft they haven’t got a legendary ship builder to help them with their “Argo”, so I can’t see them competing with Nintendo, let alone Apple.

Well lets just hope they don’t have another Thomas Andrews at the helm. :)

      More info from Dailytech.

*sigh* Its too expensive, no wireless conectivity is a big loss and tieing it to their own download service is idiocy. To be honest, I really don’t see this going anywhere. :?

I do find it funny how companies cripple themselves by (a) completely misunderstanding customer wants and (b) overly expensive proprietary formats. I cant believe that MS would be so naive after the miserable failure of the ngage and the underperformance of the psp as compared to the ds. I thought they had something when they announced a cross platform aspect to the live service, so I’m prepared to wait and see.
