Hi all,
following on from Thursday nights announcement re: TKO, can anyone offer any confirmation on what is happening and when?
As I understood it, TKO software (makers of MoH:Pearl Harbor) are opening an office in Dublin at the end of this month. They hope to create 110 jobs ultimately.
Excitedly yours,
Lewis

Hi Boadle,
I found the info here:
http://www.igda.org/Forums/showthread.php?threadid=7577
I posted a query asking much the same info as yourself, but have not received a reply yet. So, being the impatient and inquisitive soul that I am I’ve mailed them and am awaiting a reponse
Also, TKO have posted the current positions elsewhere on THIS site, but not on their own.
http://www.tko-software.comI spoke to EI about this and they said they’d spoken to TKO and were aware that they planned to open an office over here on January 6th, but hadn’t heard anything since.

Thanks Tony.
Your last comment is slightly concerning?

Tony,
while I think of it, excellently organised event on Thursday. A credit to you, Aphra et al.

I understand where you’re coming from but EI’s remit is more about fostering Irish businesses to develop and look abroad for export capability.
It’s the IDA that should be more involved here, I think

The original thread by TKO here:
Note they only arrived in the country a few days ago (though Kai-Peter did manage to make it to the igda launch!)

Thanks for bringing in the great news Ian!
One problem though, the link to the Entemp article isn’t working. I would like to gather all possible information on this so could you possibly fix that for us all?
Thanks, I went onto the site to find it but it wasn’t on the main page and I couldn’t find it as the search page wasn’t working…
40 people over the next five years isn’t the 100 people in twelve months that we had been hearing, but it’s still fantastic news nonetheless.
Here’s to another prosperous year for game development in Ireland. :)
