Who will have time for third party stuff when there is Zelda and Metoid at launch.

Launch window – 3 months, unless you are Microsoft then its 9 months.

yeah id say 6-12 months is probably about right. Sega Rally Revo is a launch window title and its release is march 30th.

      Its all marketing bullshit anywho

      LAUNCH window???

LAUNCH is first 3 months in deee opinion of me.

Titles that release 6 or 12 months later are released in the ‘FIRST YEAR ON SALE’

Gears of War is not a launch window title, no matter what the eejits at MS say.

If you go back to its proper (non game) usage ‘launch window’ is a very narrow timeframe.

      so….er……yeah.

well i guessed a month purly because they normally publish the sales figures for the first month, or sometimes the first week or day. 12 months seems way too long

This is PR speak, launch window can mean whatever they want it to mean on any given day.

      PR. woopidydoo!

What im really looking forward to is the indie development scene for the wii, and the easy access to it through connect24. Last time i heard the wii dev kit’s were really cheap, i wonder what the chances of getting one are…………
