Ted Castronova has just launched his book ‘Synthetic Worlds: The Business and Culture of Online Games’. Apart from the similarity in places to the title of my own forthcoming book (!) this is focussed specifically on MMOGs and should be a pretty good read. Ted is known as one of the people involved in quantifying in real money the value of virtual worlds and objects.
