1 monitor with 1 vga port only, 1 pc, 1 xbox with vga cable.
1 lazy gamer who can’t be bothered switching cables around.Anybody know where I can go in and buy a device that switches input to a monitor to one of two sources for cheep?
I have seen the switcher boxes that take 4+ vga inputs and have nice led displays etc but I can’t for the life of me understand why they are so expensive. Anyone know?
Vga has what 16 wires, so why no small box that just hooks up 16 simple switches with a bar across them all? If care was taken to ensure the wire lengths were equal then signal timings should be fine.

I had same thing with audio. My monitor has a stereo jack input so got an adapter from ebay.

i do get a small thin line on the left third of the screen, but that’s only when viewing with the xbox, its fine with the PC, i think its just a really old monitor.
btw had a quick look on amazon, and i think this is perfect

Amazon and I don’t get along though :) every time I try order something I go through all the steps only be told it can’t be delivered to Ireland so I don’t bother anymore.Would buy the following but need to find a 0.5m male-male vga cable first or get a gender changer. But starting to sound like more hassle than its worth.
