      I read an article recently where a sample of teenagers were asked to play games and one of the several questions that were asked was, what do you expect to get out of a game.
      And answers given were, in ascending order:

      – Play for Excitement
      – Expect to Win Easily
      – Pay to Win
      – Play for Pleasure
      – Expect a Challenge

      When asked why do you play games, 50% of the girls and 25% of the boys said, “Because I’m bored” (with 30% of those being ‘bord’, ‘board’ or ‘boerd’ :( )

      Is this a typical representation??

      well if you asked some one why the watch moives etc most would proably say “Because I’m bored”. personal i would say “Because I’m board” :D

      I play (multiplayer) games because it provides me an oppportunity to try and tactically out-think another person in an artificial world which has an established set of rules that I can use to lead me to victory.

      I play single player games (and only very rarely) because I enjoy the story that unfolds as I play them.

      Cube, SP, XBox….I’ve taken them all off of her at some point :p

      She’s not geting the SP back til i finish metroid and advanced wars!

      I will buy one….when I get properly employed!!

      I play games because it’s like buttering bread to me, simple plain and smooth(eh what?), oh and I’m really good at it…. buttering bread that is.

      Need foe Speed eh?, sounds…dangerously good. I betcha that it will have a svage frame rate, I heard that it may even run at 20fps, ohh… the speed, I can almost feel the wind in my beautiful long golden hair… oh your still there!! vanity, what can a girl do? but wait i’m not a girl. but if I were, oh let the good times roll.
