InactiveAround 30 games will initially be available to download from the Virtual Console service, including titles from the Mario, Zelda, R-Type and Donkey Kong franchises.[/quote:26d0a3ff70]
Right I’m definitely getting a Wii now. I just need to find a way to add on an old arcade joystick!!

InactiveLots of reports saying that the controller kills your arm and those reporters werent playing it for that long, half an hour at most. New Innovative control systems are great to see, especially looking at how the DS has turned out, but if it physically kills you to play a game than how are you going to enjoy playing it!! Thats my only reservation about the whole thing.
EDIT: Oh yeah another thing, is the 3rd party support going to tail off like the gamecube?

InactiveSolution to people spending too much time playing the computer :P
I assume it depends on the game really, you can still use it with regular controls depending on how the game works. 0

Considering that the 16 launch titles for Japan are from 9 different publishers I seriously doubt it will suffer the fate of the gamecube

Haven’t heard anything about that, but even so its not a worry for me. If I was playing tennis or golf or the like, my arms wouldn’t get too sore, and that is using a heavier “tool” so the speak.
I also doubt many Wii games will entail 6 hour long marathon game sessions!

I don’t know, just consider the formula
Amount of Time Played is directly proportional to the amount of alcohol involved + the amount of buddies you’re hosting

That’ll depend on the average game units sold on the console. Will it be worth making a Wii game…whats the return? If the install base of PS3/360 is higher, there is a good chance that it might because making a Wii version of a PS3/360 game could be more than a little tricky. I reckon most good Wii games will be Wii exclusives, so lets hope the Wii sells enough units to keep developers making enough money from developing for it. -

InactiveI’m predicting 199 euro…..its a nice round figure, but doesn’t stray into the 200 mark, so it sounds much cheaper….

InactiveWario Ware on the GameCube retailed for a low price when it came out, so I hope Nintendo use the same sense when the time comes
