SuperMan on the N64, and Rise of the robots [every format] are also pretty dire.

Heh, you’d think that after all this time something like that would be worth some money… :D

As for personally…gah there have been so many. Most of the 16-bit console movie to game conversions were terrible, as were the Army Men games on the PC, Carmageddon 64 was completly mucked up…the list goes on really!

What really shocked me recently however was when I was playing through demos of games I had been really looking forward to when my old PC became unable to play games. Games like BREED, Chrome, Chaser…they all looked fantastic in the previews but I stopped buying PcZone before they were released so never found out how they turned out…how disappointed I was… :?

Worst game u say. too hard to say just one.

Worse Disopointment: Daikatana. How John Romero could make such a horrible peice of vomit was frankly astonishing.

But i think the worst game ive ever “seen” was this beach soccer game that was reviewed in PC Gamer a few years ago. It got “N/A percent” because they couldnt get it to work properly on the 10+ machines they had in their office. One game would have no sound, another would crash once a goal was scored ect….

N/A% – imagine how the developers felt. horrible…lol…

Ah yes I remember PcZone having similar problems. One thing I thought that was great was that they used to list the games which the publishers had refused to send them “Streets Of Sim City” became a running joke in that column… :D

      hahaha! :D

Yea the publishers of Crazy Frog Racer refused to send Pc Gamer a copy this month, and the reviewer said the worst thing about reviewing it (it got 5% in the end) was he had to go into a shop a buy it. Cant imagine that being much fun.

Any of the Batman games. The character and his stories have so much potential but the games have always been a huge let down.

Hrm, I found Batman Returns on the SNES to be quite good actually as was The Adventures Of Batman And Robin on the same console. The various Batman Forever’s and subsequent spin offs have been muck though…

      The Atari ET game

      http://keithschofield.com/et/std.html%5B/quote:3613b7c07d%5D

Hmmmm. I don’t know if it was the worst, but considering it was a game Atari was banking on, they did themselves a horrible blow to their own 5200..

Such an iconic title though :D Very similar to Daikatana actually…
For me….. oh god am…. TNMT for the Snes. Aimed at a young audience, impossibly hard…
Alothough alot of SNES games weren’t very youth friendly.
      Possibly Batman Returns.

Oh the “of Mana” title on the GBA, that was a horrible part of the series…

Though art correct, it was funny. For me anyway, obviously not for Bushnell.

Dark Messiah of Might and Magic should have got N/A by all reviewers as well. Terrible shoddy release, 15 min loading times on loads of machines, crashes all over the place, not as deep as Vampire:Bloodlines, another buggy game. At leat Vampire worked somewhat off the shelf.
Hated Messiah, sold it a few weeks after.

I’m probably going to be shot for this, but I thought Shenmue 2 was a HUGE let down.
Not the worst game ever by a long, long way…but still

Anybody play "jeopardy" on the N64(I think)? It was voted EGMs game they hate to love that year and it was complete trash. Notably, Egms game they lover to hate that year was NFL Xtreme, which was Xtremely Xtreme in its Xtremely Xshitty Xgameplay.

Though one. I lot of the games I played when i grew up where good so I would have to say Twilight Princess was one of the worst games I played. So over hyped, nothing different from other games, shit graphics, NO VOICES when talking to NPC’s just wasnt good. I am sure i will get attacked by a few Nintendo fans for that one but in this world of Oblivion, Mass effect FF XII and FF XIII etc etc its just not up to much.

Amped 3 was bad as well becase they tried to fix a game that was not broken.

      Ok im done. lol.

Twilight Princess one of the worst games ever?? Shit graphics – come on what are you expecting, Gears of War? its the Wii and in fairness its one of the best looking games ive played in ages. But then looks mean very little if the gameplay isnt upto scratch. This is where the game really shines. The dungeons and puzzles are very well laid out and designed.

Combat in general is a bit iffy yeah, but the boss battles are great. Maybe in future they should go for the Shadow of the Collosis approach and concentrate on great boss battles and keep exploration and puzzles the same as it is now. No voiceover work? Who cares man. Are you serious? This is a game well worth playing.

I didnt say it was just because of the graphics. The game still has no voice and there was nothing new from ther other games. I know loads of other people like this game but for me. well….

Just because a game doesn’t do it for you, doens’t really put it in the worse gamever category. Zelda, on the whole has been excellent series, and if one game doesn’t evolve enough for you, its a bit sad to rate it as rubbish for that reason. Does the lack of voice acting really detract THAT much, I don’t think so and it saves on a hell of a lot of dev work and asset space on disk.

What was wrong with the bullet time in Max Payne??

Nothing, that was what I meant, bullet time was excellent in (both) max paynes, but in Enter the Matrix it was awful.
