Just to update people. The redesign team involving Ian H, Dave K, John L and myself met with Ronny and Craig on Sat.
We discussed site redesign and fixing various problems which have arisen since we moved server.
We are hoping to have a site design agreed by the end of the week and Dave has agreed to programme it over his Christmas holidays.
John L. meanwhile is going to look into upgrading our forum software and then we will look at the threads.
It is taking some time as everyone is voluntary so bear with us.
Hopefully gd.ie will have a whole new look for 05..!!

John eventually landed in Dublin later that evening…never fly aer lingus Frankfurt to Dublin..unless you have a few extra days travelling time..

Yes..over Christmas … so it should be a bright new 2005 for gd.ie
The move from DCU to a commercial server has had some unfortunate consequences in terms of people submitting content via forms. However we are planning a site redesign, we are meeting next weekend to try and move this along and problems like the forms etc. will be addressed during the redesign..

we are having a few probs sending out mails to our mailing list so please do inform anyone you know in the industry about Friday night.. will have to try viral marketing instead of a mail shot!!

Moving jobs for me means new computers and a blank slate in terms of software… But they seem to be pretty draconian here about software licenses here and they come and audit our computers to check what software we have on it. Have to check what their policy is on freeware and shareware…
