Aphra KKeymaster
unfortunately not…would if I was in Dublin..
Aphra.
Aphra KKeymasterthere was certainly some pain involved in writing the book!

Aphra KKeymasterThe discussion will be studio based so if you were in Dublin it would be at the RTE studios in Donnybrook. I suggested another name of someone in the UK who researches games and has written about games and violence but I am sure they would be interested in someone local also.
If you ring the main switch board in RTE and ask for a researcher on prime time – can’t remember the name of the person I talked to..you might be able to offer your services..
it would be good to get someone who would give an informed and non-alarmist point of view..mention PEGI etc. etc..

Aphra KKeymasterno apparently their interviews will be used in the pre-recorded piece and they are looking for people to take part in a studio discussion too..
they have just contacted me to take part in the studio discussion but I don’t think they realise I really live in the sticks now…and having spent the whole weekend travelling ireland I am not about to jump in the car again tomorrow to head to Belfast..(mm n cancel my other plans..)
honestly..they could give people a bit of notice…
Aphra.
Aphra KKeymasterI will be there early and the green machine will be available to give lifts from northern Ireland to dublin if required…first come first served..PM me..I drive down via Belfast..
Aphra..
Aphra KKeymasterIt seems web streaming is something the Hub are looking into maybe after Christmas…
anyway it was an enjoyable night. About 30 people maybe in the audience and it went on for over an hour..
Also Prime Time were there before the event and interviewed Peter Mee and Paul Hayes, on guess what, violence and games. If their pieces are used you may see them tomorrow evening (tues) on Prime Time. I missed being interviewed cause I was late…phew…

Aphra KKeymasternot sure I get much input on the design of the cover but I agree on pacman/space invaders etc…I would kind of like a real person to be involved in the cover image…to reflect my approach…
Festoon, are you coming to the shindig on Friday night?
Aphra.
Aphra KKeymastermm. I like it…maybe gamework and gameplay …mmm….
Aphra.
Aphra KKeymasterlet me send the suggestion to Dermot Ryan!
Aphra.
Aphra KKeymasterthen I guess it really would be a ‘talk digital’!!
mail Dermot Ryan in the hub and ask him – they should really stream them on the web..
Aphra.
Aphra KKeymasterI would like to see the subtitle that tried to explain to a non-Irish audience what a culchie is..
some good suggestions though…
Game On was used already by a UK exhibition and book..
