what do you want to know…I’ve been sent a few info pieces about the 10th of Dec. launch and we’ll be putting up a news piece this evening on gamedevelopers.ie

anyone want to do a brief summary of what happened earlier in the evening last night…since I didn’t arrive until about 10.45 in the end…
I can report that people went from Mahaffys to Doyles and there was a lively discussion as to the relationship between gamedevelopers.ie and the IGDA Ireland chapter..as it stands we are cooperating closely but distinct entities…there seemed to be some support for things to stay that way…

thanks guys..we are looking for some interesting links between TV and games and someone did mention Time commanders to me last week..I think it is on Tues evenings ..what channel?

The committee is meeting before the shindig at 5.30 so people can head to the shindig after…we are going to discuss organisational and funding matters …
don’t know yet about the first full chapter meeting but they will probably be merged with the shindigs after christmas..

looks like the Belfast arm is gathering momentum..have you guys settled on Renshaws? I can add it to the calendar if you have, just send me a few more directions as to where the pub is..& a rough time..

I believe that naming the forum Dublin was an oversight and moves are afoot to change it to Ireland..glad we noticed before someone from the People’s Republic of Cork noticed!

Indeed an Irish chapter is in formation and the first meeting of the Irish committe will probably be before the next shindig on the 27th of November in Dublin.
There have been various discussions within the forums about this and full information will be posted soon in the news section.

and another catch 22..DCU is entering the higher education award in this competition but we can’t include gamedevelopers.ie in our submission because it was funded externally..even though it was developed by students and is run mainly on a voluntary basis…

the digital depot is part of the digital hub..head up Dame Street from Trinity college and keep going past Christ church as the street becomes Thomas Street..pass Vicar Street on your left and keep walking…the digital depot will be on the right near the old Guinness buildings..the digital depot is incubation space for new companies…
