So I see that the University of Abertay at Dundee now has a fully kitted lab with Playstation Dev kits. Some competition!

It would make some sense if a ‘trainee’ is actually shadowing someone with experience….An internship should also have some mentorship involved…which will be hard if the person is not on site.

what a nicely worded complaint!
actually we have been working on new updated bulletin board software but as you have noticed when we are all volunteers it takes a while.
I have no idea why there is such a problem editing location fields…but the techy folks will have to answer that one

Any reason why you can’t name the company?
Most of the jobs we post in our jobs section actually state what the company name is.

sometimes game based learning is called serious games..and there are some companies who are active in this space.
The type of programmer you need/designer will depend on the type of game, platform etc…
Come along maybe to the shindig that we are planning and ask some folks face to face…?

well we now have new principles from the Office of Fair Trading in the UK …following on from the Apple case in the US.

Thanks all,
This has been coming for a while but such is the nature of voluntary activities, people get pulled into the day jobs or are working multiple jobs etc.
Anyway it is back to the top of the agenda and it would be good to first take advice on how to proceed and then put together a group or look at the best way to achieve it.
Thanks Jamie for kickstarting this.
