ok so it will be pretty busy over the next few weeks but should we try for a pre-christmas knees up on either the 15th or the 22nd? Obviously the later date suits our overseas visitors..how about those down or up the country? The locals can stumble in I am sure on either date unless we clash with some big event…

Aphra KKeymasterdaymo..seemed to go well, apart from my timing. I suppose at this stage I can just talk and talk. Audience were pretty generous to my stuff given that they were mainly from computer science.
got interviewed for this Friday’s IT business and tech section and the journo was in my session too. I could change my mind about how it went after seeing that.
im..lost – were you there friday night? Ernest was great to come in to the pub given that he was facing over 100 secondary school kids the next day.

Aphra KKeymasterAphra KKeymastercongrats to all involved from DIT in the CGames conference. It seems to have run really smoothly and signs are good for games research in Ireland – lots of papers from Irish unis.

Aphra KKeymasterwell it looks like we will have Ernest Adams along at the shindig. Watch out for his hat.
He is doing the schools workshop tomorrow and is arriving in this afternoon.

Aphra KKeymasterhere is a picture of it – http://www.irish-architecture.com/buildings_ireland/dublin/southcity/camden_street/ryans.html
The address is 92 Camden Street Lower, Dublin 2.
Map – not far from Trinity – maybe 15 minutes walk – to an area sometimes called the Village quarter, Find DIT on the map (big blue box) and to the right you will see Wexford street which changes into Camden Street.
See http://www.softguide-dublin.com/maps/l52o54.html

Aphra KKeymasterwe are currently spreading the word with the CGames attendees about the shindig so hopefully we will have a good turnout with a mix of academics, students and industry folk.
All welcome.

Aphra KKeymasterwas at the CGames conf dinner last night and by all accounts it is going very well with great reports of Steve’s opening plenary and the previous night’s event in the Xbox play centre.
I was spreading the word about the shindig Friday night and it looks like we might get Ernest Adams to come along too as he is flying in for the workshop on Sat.
Aphra.
Aphra KKeymasterjust a quick reminder that the next shindig is this coming Friday, in ryans on Camden street, from 7.30/8pm.
Hope you will all find it. I and whoever is there earlyish will try to stand out!
