gosh that is not too bad ronny, we used to have to drive to Jordanstown from Coleraine for meetings- the beauty of a five campus University!

isn’t that college in Belfast undergoing a complete refurbishment at the moment? They got a load of money too to start up a new research centre last year, see http://www.ulster.ac.uk/jobs/institutes/art/research.html

so that would mean the National College of Art and Design or Dun Laoghaire Instiute of Art and Design. Ballyfermot Senior College in Dublin also has relevant courses. These three are all dublin. anyone know of any elsewhere?

I am fairly new to the NUI system but here in Maynooth you may not combine computer science with arts although you can do mathematics and music technology as part of the general arts degree. I suggest you check directly with NUIG on that.
Don’t know differents between GMIT and NUIG courses but worth getting both course outlines to check them module by module to see what they cover and to see if either offer a work experience option and what scope there is to do practical projects which you could make more game related to gain experience.

yes you really need to decide is it programming or art/design or some other role you are interested in. There are loads of new game courses including Carlow IT but your choice of course depends on your interests and core strengths now in school.
there are now a few companies in Galway so it might be worth contacting them to chat about potential paths and some work experience..

I used to have a ten minute commute last year when I worked in the North and lived in Portrush. Now I have an hour and a half and live in dublin – mostly I commute by train and bike and I don’t have to come in every day either so actually quality of life is not too diminished..get some exercise, read on train, have breaky, live in dublin, keep my sanity…not a bad trade-off!!.

I wonder what christmas sales of the game were like? I was in a couple of shops in Dublin where it was no 3 in terms of sales charts.
