in the south the main art colleges and ITs are not officially ‘unis’ so they kind of had to do that. I guess in the north the colleges of further education will be eligible..whoever is going on Friday can check that out for us…

The CESA white paper reports on an annual Japanese survey of the general population and games.
CESA categorised their total population sample into four consumer categories: active, dormant, prospective and disinterested. Disinterested customers were those who had never played and did not want to, or had played and had no intention of playing again.
In the last survey I have (1999) disinterested customers constituted the largest proportion of those surveyed at 35.8 percent. Dormant customers were players who were waiting for games to be made which would make them want to play again. These constituted 28.1 percent. Only 27.8 percent were described as active players, down from almost 40 percent.
Might be worth considering..

my understanding is though that if you partner with a company in that region then a project would be considered…however I am sure that local companies will be given precedence..at least in the pilot..

there is an article in this month’s Develop about Gripp and an interview with Michael cramption about Game Republic, who are behind it. It is a pilot project at the moment…

well apparently there was a good turnout from all the colleges at the Dublin Open Day before Christmas – it is just there is no talk about teams seeking members etc.. – maybe there are more college based teams this year than inter-college teams like last year..
