well it was a little subdued given that the Torc event the night before had become a bit of an epic…having said that the usual die hards were there plus everyone Pete has ever known over his life..oh and there is a very interesting pic of Pete from years back which might just surface somewhere on this site..

The next shindig might coinside with Ivan making it over in August and/or GaleCon and someone mentioned we should do an internet games night….let’s see what the feeling is….

Well I popped into Toners on the way home last night and it seems there is a birthday party booked into downstairs but the manager reckons we’ll be able to get tables upstairs in the pub so let’s try that anyway. He said he’d look after us with cocktail sausages…did someone mention sausages….??!! jes, you can’t get away from them…
so anyway, see you all UPSTAIRS in Toners on Baggott St. from about 7.30pm on SAT night..

Come on the Czech Republic tonight…although the Germans seem to be playing a ‘less boring’ form of football this tournament so it should be a good match..

I was down talking to the guys in Carlow IT last Friday and will be posting more details on their proposed degree course in Computer Game Development on the news section in the next day or so. Subject to final approval this week the course should go ahead this year..

well it actually looks like there will be many people out on Friday night after the Torc event in the Digital Hub – and then another event on the Sat. night too…I’ll check if downstairs in Toners is available..

you know what, I head off to a couple of weddings and there is great organising going on in my absence…( I’ll say nothing about the references to orange juice except Jamie that last time you were at a shindig it definitely wasn’t orange juice I was drinking…more uisce beatha..!)

If I remember correctly the Price WaterHouse Coopers report on the Digital Content industries in Ireland recommended that a creative industries project fund be established – that was published back in 2002.
I take it the Fund4Games model could be extended beyond the UK..

There are plans for a rather large ‘Awakening’ event to be held in Derry on the 15th of Oct…
smaller events and shindigs will probably be arranged before that…
