Hi all,
As you know the Sony event is tonight.
These events are a good opportunity to hear some experts in the field present information and answer questions but they are also a good place to network and meet new people. I will be around the door area as people enter and please make yourself known to me and the others.
I suspect there will be some chatting over a drink after too..

If you are looking for previous directions to shingigs you can go to the resources section on the top navigation bar, click on calendar and use the search facility.

Location: From Stephen’s Green North walk past the Shelbourne Hotel and towards Merrion Row/Baggot Street. Keep walking straight with Upper Merrion Street on your left and Ely Place on your right. Toners is a wine & black pub and will be on your right on a corner. If you reach Pembroke Street on your right you have passed it and gone too far.
The shindig will be downstairs. To get there you can walk through the pub to the back where there is a stairs or walk around the side outside where there is another door. I will put up signs so you know where you are going..

if you take a look in feedback I have listed the things we are currently looking at changing on the site..it will include a new creative forum but we are in the midst of planning a move of the site from its current server which has to take precedence just at the moment…and will hopefully greatly improve the performance of the forums, get rid of blank pages etc..

Yes I think we need to make a few links like that ..
at it stands there are about five issues we are looking at presently:
1. performance and moving to a commercial server which will hopefully deal with the empty pages, extra numbers and info at the top of pages etc..
2. information architecture – some redesigning to make the site easier to use
3. forum threads – some reformatting and new threads..
4. contributors – recruiting more writers and stringers who will submit news and features…
5. funding…working with existing and new private and public partnersanyone with any ideas…feel free to share them..

Hi all,
Just got information on the winning team which indeed included computer students from DCU and animation students from DLIADT. Congrats to the winners and commiserations to the other teams. I know they all put in a lot of work and hopefully it will pay off in other ways..

The interviews for Dare Ireland are taking place this afternoon in the Digital Hub and I think we will know the winner by about 6.30 pm ish…best of luck to all the teams participating..
